Andy's Mission Scripture

Andy's Mission Scripture:

"I know that which the Lord hath commanded me, and I glory in it. I do not glory of myself, but I glory in that which the Lord hath commanded me; yea, and this is my glory, that perhaps I may be an instrument in the hands of God to bring some soul to repentance; and this is my joy."

New pics...

Andy's email this week was a bit personal for the blog...other than that he needs new shoes as his current ones look like "hobo shoes"!

He's got to go to the mission office this week to renew his passport...he's amazed that he is at his one year anniversary!  Specifically he said:  "I really cant believe that i will be counting down days soon. It actually makes me really sad to be honest not that i dont want to come home but this has just become my life and its hard to imagine another."

Transfer week...Andy stays put.

OI!!! TUDO BEM!

WOW! Another Transfer flew by! Já! Time is a crazy thing right! I cant believe a year of my mission is almost gone! Lets you know how much you need to make the best of every moment.... First things first before i forget, I want to let you guys know that I recieved your packages! I love you guys SO much for the Ipod christmas music and japanese goodies! A little late to let you know Im sorry but so many things just cross my mind i dont know what to write. I think i already said this but Im just so happy to know that you guys recovered and are feeling better from the ill season. Im so happy that things are going well back home with friends. Im so excited for Tanner Johns and Derek Lambert and Dylan Parry, so of my bestest friends are going to expierence (have made the best choice of thier life to serve) things they will never forget! I cant tell you how awesome it is to munch on my comfort food! Also for the beautiful album of our family! If it wouldnt be to much of a trouble to ask more photos of you guys would be awesome. This week was honestly really tough to focus on the work as Elder Da Costa is going home. But the highlight of this week was the batism of IVY. An amazing young girl! Her Batism was really sweet as the the releif society gave a huge warm welcome to her. Well we recieved another greenie in our house today in place of Elder Da Costa, Elder Carvalho! He seems like a great guy! He is going to love the mission! Gosh im so sorry i swear i will tell you more about IVY next week and things in general i feel like i say this to often but the work is truly sweet here and i will quicken up my letters to the presidente! Yet again im WAY happy for Madison! and i hope she gets ajusted soon! My best wishes to you guys this week! Nver forget the blessings in your life. Bring a smile to somebody everyday! Love you guys and this work so much!

Christmas pics and New Year's Eve

Oi todo mundo! or ALOHA para minha Família especialmente para Madison!

Hey everybody! please excuse me that i failed to send an email last week. but everything
is tudo bem here dont worry. I just failed to do so because i was yet again helping a friend
Elder Da Costa who lives with me who also is ending his mission this transfer! I was helping him with some photos...anywas I hope everyone new year was an explosion of excitement
and fun like mine was. Our apartment is on the last floor only two stories up but its still pretty high up there so we had a good view of the fireworks that were shot off from downtown...guilty to say that we were up a little past curfew becuase it was impossible to go to sleep anyways with everyone blasting music! Our neighbor blasted music until midnight hours! it was pretty rediculous but pretty amusing to me as they played some of the most how do you say that word for old school things that starts with a ```R`` gosh dang anyways really old music from like the 50´s! it was great. Besides that i want to give a shout out Parabéns to Minha Irma Madison that she has already Graduated!!! lucky girl! Hey so anyways my week was good, not super but not bad... The work is moving kind of slowly. We found a bunch of new people to teach this week on the good side. We will be baptizing an awesome girl named IVY yeah like posion ivy haha but she is sweet. She is totally excited to be baptized! Her mom is already a member so thats just a huge bonus as they will both be a blessing to each other. ANyways loving my companion, every day more getttng to know him. He is such a spaz. This week while i was eating some Açai i flipped open the Book of Mormon to ALma 32 34 and it really touched me as Im not a person with a lot of Conhecimento, but my faith is building so much i study each day. I love you all and wish you a great week! Abrço Elder m. Howell
